In 2019, I started a Clash Royale clan called the "Tower Sweeps". I really enjoyed Clash Royale at the beginning, and intended to grow the clan and started a static site to publish things that wouldn't really fit into the in-game profiles & chat features – such as a code of conduct and a schedule of clan events.

Unfortunately, over time Supercell made a number of updates to the game that made it less and less fun for me, so I eventually stopped playing.

Occasionally I get asked about how to get started in the information security (also "infosec", "cyber") field. Since that's not my primary area of expertise, it's my intent to keep this post updated with the best guidance I've come across to answer this question.
